Self-Love is Revolutionary!

Loving yourself is a revolutionary act” -V. Pardo
In a global society where external gratifications hold our self-worth hostage, describing self-love as a revolutionary act is the perfect metaphor. Self-love, loving yourself, whatever you want to call it, is necessary and a full time job that never ends! But there is comfort in knowing that if you try your best, let go of fear and take healthy risks; self-love becomes eminent, despite our complexities and doubts.
This “revolutionary act” is a journey to self discovery, reunification with your true self (the child within) and experiences that foster continual personal growth. When you love on yourself daily (no matter the dose) and mother your unhealed wounds, everything else falls in place. That I can blindly bet on.
So never forget that we were born perfect and whole (even though we may not feel that way). Always strive to remain complete and not to be completed by others and/or things and most importantly NEVER expect others to love you, when you can’t love yourself. When you fill a void (need) with external loves you hold on so tight that you never truly enjoy the feeling in fear that it will one day end and leave you empty once again.
